Make a stunning spray of leather roses with award-winning flower maker Svetlana Faulkner.
During this workshop, students will make and assemble three leather roses at different stages of opening and arrange them into a finished corsage to take home. Svetlana will teach students how to make the stiffening solution for leather flowers, to stiffen and shape petals and calyxes by hand, to back leather leaves with fabric, to use tweezers to shape rose petals in several ways as well as to shape petals and leaves using millinery tools.
Suitable for both beginners and improvers, previous experience in flower making would be helpful but is not required for this class.
